The Pyrenees are
exceptional:
the massif preserves its fauna as much that its flora. Of
very beautiful specimens of rhododendrons, of jonquils, of Ramondia,
of edelweiss, of the lily of the Pyrenees,... The massif possesses the
hundreds of varieties of plants, close to a third of France. The
National Park of Pyrenees is one of the oldest of France (close to 500
Km2s). The izard is an emblematic animal of the Pyrenees. Numerous
population of marmots and magnificent birds: Grand Tetras, Lagopedes,
bearded gypaete, fawn vulture, falcons,...
